Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Athens

Arrival at the Athens airport, welcome assistance and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Athens.

Day 2Athens | City tour

The day is dedicated to exploring the city of Athens. We begin with a panoramic tour to the most important monuments and landmarks of the city including the Panathinaikon stadium, the Zappeion, the temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, Syntagma square, the Parliament, the tomb of the unknown soldier, Schliemann’s house, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and the old Parliament. Next we head for our guided visit to the Acropolis, including the Propylae, the temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, the Erechtheion. Afternoon at leisure to explore Plaka, the picturesque old part of the city

Day 3Delphi | Athens

After your breakfast we will depart for a full day excursion to Delphi. The drive will take you through the plains of Boeotia and the city of Thebes. The site of Delphi, lies under the shadow of mount Parnassos, it is naturally amphitheatrically positioned and faces the gulf of Corinth. It used to be the most sacred spot in the world and a pilgrimage center for many centuries in antiquity. You will admire the Sanctuary of Apollo, we will walk the Sacred way, and visit the Doric temple of Apollo, home of Pythia (the oracle). We will also visit the local museum with many impressive findings from the area, with the most famous one being the bronze statue of the Charioteer. In the afternoon, we will start heading back to Athens, making a short stop on the way in Arachova, a picturesque mountain village, full of little shops with local products like hand-woven carpets, rugs and guilds, local wine, and local cheese.After your breakfast we will depart for a full day excursion to Delphi. Day 4Athens | Argolis (Corinth Canal, Epidaurus, Nafplion, Mycenae)

The day is dedicated to exploring the Argolic plain. Heading towards the Peloponnese, we’ ll make our first stop to admire the impressive Corinth canal. We then continue to Mycenae, the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon and a UNESCO’s world heritage site. We will visit the ruins of the ancient Palace, Agamemnon’s tomb with its famous Lion’s gate, the Cyclopean walls and the Treasury of Atreus. Later we continue to Nafplion, a picturesque little town and first capital of modern Greece dominated by the impressive Venetian Palamidi castle. Short stop to see the old town and admire the views to the famous Bourtzi island. Our last visit today will be to Epidaurus, the birthplace of Askleipios the healer. Epidaurus is listed in UNESCO’s world heritage monuments, and its theater is one of the best preserved classical theaters in Greece, still used in summer evenings for classical performances. Return drive to your hotel in Athens for overnight.

Day 5Athens | Santorini

After breakfast transfer to the port of Piraeus to catch the local ferry to Santorini. Arrival at the unique island and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 6 & 7Santorini

Days at leisure to explore the magical island of Santorini. Discover Fira and Oia with the breathtaking views to the Volcano and enjoy one of the best sunsets in the Aegean. Enjoy the unique beaches or take a boat tour to the Caldera islands.

Day 8Santorini| Departure

Breakfast and morning at leisure until the time to transfer to Mykonos airport for your departure flight
